First Grade

Week of:

January 4 – 8

Reading Theme:  We will begin our new theme entitled “Family Time.”

Spelling Words:   strike, string, splash, split, scrub, scrap, like, ride, says, were

Phonics:                This week we will work with the short vowel u.

Writing:               We will work with contractions with the word not as well as brainstorm story ideas.

Math:                We will begin the chapter numbers and patterns to 100 by working with teen numbers, counting by 10, using tens and ones, 

and working with numbers to 50.

Religion:               

Be looking for information on the January project. It will be due Friday, January 29^th. Have a great week!
