Basketball Season Underway!

The Saint Benedict Academy Lady Crusaders faced off against a strong team in the Parish of the Resurrection on Sunday, November 17. They struggled in the first quarter but fought back with strong defense for the rest of the game. The girls turned it around but just couldn’t get consistent points. It was a tough loss, but they left it all on the court with Crusader pride.

Coach Dolley and Coach Webb are encouraged by what they saw on the court and will be working to fine tune the team over the weeks to come. Thanks to all our faculty, families, and friends who came out to support us- it means a lot!

On Saturday, November 16, the Lady Crusaders cheered on the women’s basketball team at SNHU. When the head coach of SNHU saw all of our girls in their SBA sweatshirts, she invited the team down to welcome the players back to the bench from warm-ups, stand with them for the National Anthem, and then give them high fives as they were announced into the game. After the game, the SNHU players were so wonderful in coming over to thank the girls for coming and inviting them to come back to other games in the season! One of the SNHU players even returned the favor by trekking to Nashua on Sunday to cheer on our girls! The Crusaders thought it was so awesome that a college player would come watch them.

The Lady Crusaders take on Infant Jesus school on Sunday, November 24 at 1:40. The game will take place at the Parish of the Resurrection in Nashua (449 Broad Street).
