Campers rave about the first SBA Summer Camp

On August 1-5, Mrs. Connors, Mrs. Gravel, Mrs. Johnston, and Mrs. Timpe hosted the first annual SBA Summer Camp.

Each day had a different theme and included prayer, morning meeting, arts and crafts, sports and water activities, and journal writing describing the campers’ favorite part of the day.

The campers, ages four to 11, could not wait to get to camp each day. They traveled to the beach, hiked on a nature walk, and even went on safari. They enjoyed the ever-popular snack called “trash mix”, and they learned and grew with each other. In just one short week 18 campers built new friendships and created memories that will last a lifetime.

The first SBA Summer Camp was educational and full of fun. Teachers, parents, and campers alike can’t wait for next year!

One parent wrote, “You are so encouraging with all of the kids and you all have such a happy attitude with them. It’s just great, and I want you to know that I really appreciate all you’ve done.”
