Students in Mrs. LaDelle Hauck’s Fourth Grade class completed their art study of color through the creation of color wheels. The students have benefited from having an Art Education Major from the New Hampshire Institute of Art as their resident art instructor this fall. The students learned about the principles of color and then used those principles in the creation of a 3-dimensional wheel. Their next projects will build on the students’ knowledge about how different colors coordinate, compliment, and contrast and how shading and the juxtaposition of colors can animate the artwork.
