It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

prekpagcost7Saint Benedict Academy is preparing for its annual Christmas Pageant to be held on Tuesday, December 16 at 6 PM at Saint Raphael Church. The school and wider community are invited to share in the joy of the Christmas story presented by our 130 costumed performers. The evening includes live music, a community sing-a-long, tableau, and performance of Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.” A Christmas Cookie reception will follow in the gym.

Students have been learning  their music in Mr. O’Brien’s class and working on their lines with their classroom teachers. The fifth and sixth graders will portray the principal characters and narrate the story. Grade four will appear as the Wise Men and their entourage. The third grade students are the angels which deliver the good news to the second grade shepherds tending the first grade sheep. Kindergarten students will portray villagers. Our littlest learners in pre-K will be the drummer boys (and girls!) accompanying the Wise Men.

On Thursday, the pre-K had a costume fitting – check out the pictures below!
