Pre-School Teacher Announced!

Saint Benedict Academy announces the addition of Mrs. Heather Shambarger to the faculty. Mrs. Shambarger will be our pre-school teacher for our new Pre-School Program which will launch this fall.

Mrs. Shambarger is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and later completed her Master’s in Education at New England College. She is certified in Early Childhood Education.

Mrs. Shambarger was the pre-school teacher at Saint Joseph School in Salem, NH and brings over a decade of experience of teaching our youngest learners. At Saint Joseph, she developed over 300 thematic units including Continents of the World and Great Art Masters. She integrated a portfolio system to track and demonstrate student growth over the course of the year. She differentiated her instruction to simultaneously challenge and support all learners such that each child grew in knowledge, skill, and understanding.

Mrs. Shambarger looks forward to creating a respectful, loving atmosphere in her classroom. We are confident in her ability to carry out Saint Benedict Academy’s mission to form the “whole child” through engaging activities and lessons. Children will grow to become more independent, make their own decisions, use their imagination, and love Jesus.

She writes: “I believe in the power of a Catholic Education. I believe that a Catholic Education gives children the foundation and tools to guide them gracefully throughout their lives. With that foundation, students experience a feeling of safety and confidence. Together with the families and the Church, New Hampshire Catholic Schools build a faith-base that lasts a lifetime.”

Mrs. Shambarger looks forward to meeting students and families at our upcoming New Family Orientation and Visit Day on Thursday, May 29 from 8:30 to 9:30.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Shambarger to our school community!
