Students in Mrs. Connors’ Kindergarten class enjoyed Friday morning’s visit to Wilson Farms in Litchfield for a Pumpkin Picking Outing. The students have been learning about different types of pumpkins in class as part of “Orange Week.” This month, students will also explore concepts such as estimating, weight, and circumference using various sizes of pumpkins. Today, students boarded a hayride to journey through the beautiful fields at Wilson to arrive at the Pumpkin Patch and select their own pumpkin. Afterwards, students enjoyed sipping cider and exploring the barn before a picnic lunch.
A special thanks to our parent volunteers this morning!
