Saint Benedict Academy Announces its Spring Musical!

Leapin’ Lizards! Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!

The Saint Benedict Academy Performing Arts Club is pleased to announce the title of its annual spring musical production. This year, PAC will present:

Annie JR.

The world-wide phenomenon Annie was the winner of seven TONY Awards including Best Musical and is being re-imagined for the silver screen this year.

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

With songs like “Tomorrow” and “Hard Knock Life,” we know that our school community will enjoy producing this Broadway classic!

Students who are in the fall season of PAC will need to enroll for the spring season to audition for the musical. Students who were not in the fall season of PAC may also register for the spring season to participate. PAC is open to all students in good academic standing grades 3 to 6. Please contact Mrs. Hauck in fourth grade with any questions. More information about the production to follow!
