SBA’s First Robotics Competition Was A Success

Saint Benedict Academy is proud of their partnership with LEGO Man, Dan Hughes. Dan comes in on Friday mornings to work with the fifth and sixth graders to teach them collaboration, participation and understanding of robots.

Dan informed our students a while back about the robotics competition happening at one of the elementary schools in Manchester. They were ecstatic!

Over the last two weeks, 11 of our fifth and sixth grade students along with LEGO Man Dan and Mrs. Clarner (a parent, teacher and volunteer), have been preparing for their first robotics competition against 10 other schools in Manchester. Their hard work and dedication paid off!! Saint Benedict Academy worked hard and came out on top. All SBA participants received a medal for finishing in the top three teams for various events.   One group took home TWO coveted trophies for both leadership and design.

Join us in celebrating our students, volunteers and their hard work! Go SBA!
