After our weekly noon Mass on Tuesday, March 11, the second and sixth grade students led the Saint Benedict Academy community in a prayer service focusing on the Stations of the Cross. Knowing that the beautiful season of Lent ends with the cross and the glory of Christ’s Resurrection at Easter, the students and teachers wanted to remind us of Christ’s journey to the cross as we begin Lent.
The second and sixth grade classes are prayer partners. These students sit together at Mass and participate in several activities together throughout the school year. During the prayer service, the sixth grade students read about each station and offered a prayer, while the second grade students presented a symbol of the station.
A copy of the prayer service can be accessed via the PDF linked here. We invite you and your family to spend time this Lent reflecting on the Stations of the Cross.
