Technology and the Arts

100_0452Students in Ms. Maloof’s Educational Technology class used their emergent skills in creating shapes and formatting those shapes in PowerPoint to create original pieces of art in the style of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. Mondrian was a leading artist in the early 20th century De Stijl movement centered in the Netherlands.

Today’s lesson was a great example of the “STEAM” (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) cross-curricular connections.
