When the Saints Go Marching In…

Saint Benedict Academy celebrated the Solemnity of All Saints at Saint Raphael Church on Friday, November 1. Family, friends, siblings, and many parishioners from Saint Raphael Parish joined us for the celebration of the Eucharist.

Celebrant and Saint Raphael Pastor Fr. Jerome Day O.S.B.  began Mass with a procession of our first grade students dressed as 24 Saints of the Catholic Church. Each student carried a prop to symbolize part of that particular Saint’s story or what they patronize. The congregation welcomed them by singing “When the Saints Come Marching In.”

Father Jerome interviewed the 24 Saints as part of the Mass.

Our 2013 Saints included:

  • Saint Sebastian
  • Saint Anne
  • Saint Catherine of Bologna
  • Saint Cecilia
  • Saint Brigid of Ireland
  • Saint Dorothy
  • Saint Catherine of Alexandria
  • Saint Thomas Aquinas
